The Specialized Turbo Porto 4.0 is a solid, well-thought-out longtail with one of the strongest motors in the class, a large 710 Wh battery and a low-maintenance belt drive. It is heavy at about 40 kg, and its rear rack is rated for 60 kg, so it suits two small children rather than heavy loads.
AllCargo estimate: 80 kg rider, 40 kg cargo, rolling terrain, tour mode.

The Specialized Turbo Porto 4.0 is for families who want to replace car trips with a bike that needs little maintenance. The long rear rack is rated for 60 kg and the included front rack for 20 kg, and the frame is certified for 200 kg in total. At 2.07 m long it is short for a longtail, and 24-inch wheels keep the load low.
Specialized's own motor delivers 90 Nm, more than the usual 85 Nm, which helps on hills with a loaded rear. The 710 Wh battery gives around 55 km with a load. The stepless enviolo hub with belt drive shifts at a standstill and stays clean, and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes stop the heavy bike reliably. The ride is calm and stable rather than sporty.
At about 40 kg with standard accessories, the Porto is hard to lift, so plan ground-level storage. With two children near the 60 kg rack limit there is little reserve; for older children, look at longtails with a higher rack rating. The fork is rigid, so tyre pressure matters for comfort.
The rear rack is rated for 60 kg and the front rack for 20 kg. The frame is certified for 200 kg in total including rider and bike.
About 2.07 m overall, which is short for a longtail and close to a large city bike.
With the 710 Wh battery, around 55 km with a load is realistic, depending on hills and assist level.
With its 710 Wh battery we estimate about 55 km per charge with an 80 kg rider and 40 kg of cargo on rolling terrain. Use the range calculator above for your own scenario.
The bike weighs about 39.6 kg and has a maximum permitted total weight (rider, cargo and bike) of 200 kg.
Prices start at €4,999. The final price depends on configuration, battery size and accessories.
