The longer RemiDemi: a compact utility bike with fat 20-inch tyres and a rear rack for two children.

The Benno RemiDemi 9D XL stretches the RemiDemi into a small family bike: the longer rear rack takes 60 kg and, with the Family Kit, two children. It keeps the fat 20-inch tyres and easy handling, but the 190 kg total limit and the lack of suspension set the boundaries.
AllCargo estimate: 80 kg rider, 40 kg cargo, rolling terrain, tour mode.

The Benno RemiDemi 9D XL is for families who want a bike that carries two children but still rides and parks like a compact e-bike. The longer rear rack is rated for 60 kg and takes two children with the Family Kit, or one older passenger. The whole bike is rated for 190 kg, including rider, passengers and luggage.
The 20 × 3.6-inch balloon tyres give a lot of grip and comfort, even without suspension, and the low centre of gravity makes the bike easy to handle when loaded. The Bosch Performance Line motor with 75 Nm and the 545 Wh battery give around 40 km with children on board; Benno quotes up to 140 km in ideal conditions. Magura four-piston brakes stop the loaded bike with confidence, and the 9-speed derailleur is simple to maintain.
With two children and an adult rider, the 190 kg limit is reached quickly, so add up the weights before you buy. Family Kit, seats and bags are sold separately. If you only carry one passenger, the shorter standard RemiDemi is enough; for heavier loads, look at a full longtail such as the Benno Boost.
Yes, with the Family Kit fitted. The rear rack is rated for 60 kg, and rider, children and luggage together must stay under 190 kg.
The XL has a longer rear rack rated for 60 kg and a 190 kg total limit, so it can carry two children. The standard RemiDemi is shorter and takes one passenger up to 40 kg.
Benno quotes up to 140 km in ideal conditions. With the 545 Wh battery and children on board, around 40 km is realistic.
With its 545 Wh battery we estimate about 43 km per charge with an 80 kg rider and 40 kg of cargo on rolling terrain. Use the range calculator above for your own scenario.
Prices start at €4,400. The final price depends on configuration, battery size and accessories.
