The Load4 75 vario combines the Load's full suspension and large 75 cm loading area with a stepless Enviolo hub and belt drive, which makes it the low-maintenance version of this very comfortable family bike. It is long, heavy and expensive, and it has been replaced by the Load5, so look for remaining stock or a good used bike.

Who it is for
The Riese & Müller Load4 75 vario is for families and professionals who ride long distances every day and want comfort above all. The 75 cm loading area carries two children or large cargo, and the bike is rated for 200 kg in total. Full suspension front and rear makes cobblestones and poor roads much less tiring for the rider and the passengers.
Riding and everyday use
The Bosch Performance Line CX motor with 85 Nm pulls a loaded bike away from traffic lights easily, and hydraulic disc brakes give strong, controlled stopping. R&M sold the Load4 with different battery sizes and an optional second battery, so check which one your bike has, because it decides the range. The vario version has a stepless Enviolo hub with belt drive: it shifts at a standstill and needs far less care than the derailleur of the Touring version.

At roughly 2.7 m long and 38 kg, the Load4 needs a ground-level parking spot. The Load4 has been succeeded by the Load5, so new bikes are mostly remaining stock. When buying used, check the suspension bearings, brakes and battery health.
