Who it is for
The Babboe Go Mountain is for families with small children or a dog who want the stability of three wheels. Its standout feature is the lockable door in the front of the box: children and dogs can get in and out on their own, and a parking brake keeps the trike still meanwhile. The box carries up to 100 kg, with a bench and two three-point belts for two children.
Riding and everyday use
The Yamaha mid-drive motor with 70 Nm gives good support on hills, which is what "Mountain" stands for in Babboe's range. The Enviolo stepless hub shifts at a standstill and needs little maintenance, and hydraulic disc brakes stop the loaded trike reliably. Babboe quotes up to 60 km with the 500 Wh battery; with children on board, plan on around 40 km. As with every trike, cornering and cambered roads need a few quiet practice rides.
Before you buy
At about 2.15 m long, 88 cm wide and 64 kg, the Go does not fit through a standard 80 cm door and needs a garage, shed or wide gate. In 2024 Babboe ran a recall and inspection programme for several models; for a used bike, ask the seller whether it was affected and inspected.
